Read message from Interim President Jay Hartzell
As we plan and prepare for the fall, the university is continuing to closely monitor the spread of COVID-19 in Austin, throughout Texas and across the country. Below, you will find a few important policy updates and announcements related to COVID-19.
- Students returning to campus will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days before they arrive.
- We will have more details on how the Protect Texas Together app will function when it is unveiled next month.
- Face mask requirements will be enforced in accordance with the university’s guidelines for faculty, staff and students. Repeat violations by students will lead to sanctions.
- Regents Chairman Kevin Eltife has asked us to explore the logistics, health and safety impacts of setting football crowds at 25% of capacity.
